We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Process Executive – General Ledger to join our Finance GCC team at Fossil Group in Bangalore, India. If you are passionate about financial accounting and enjoy driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement, this could be the perfect role for you. In this dynamic and global company, you will play a key role in delivering high\-quality General Ledger operations, supporting month\-end close activities, and ensuring financial integrity across global entities.
This is a hybrid position based in our Bangalore office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. This role reports directly to the Manager – General Ledger.
What you will do in this role
General Ledger \& Financial Close
- Review and validate journal entries, including accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
- Drive accurate and timely month\-end and year\-end close activities while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
- Review financial schedules and management reports prior to submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconciliations \& Financial Controls
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of aged reconciling items.
- Perform root cause analysis on accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Review fixed asset and lease accounting activities, including depreciation, amortization, and lease adjustments.
Intercompany \& Compliance
- Manage complex intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and dispute resolution with global stakeholders.
- Partner with cross\-functional teams to ensure timely closure of intercompany balances.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, resolving audit queries, and maintaining audit\-ready documentation.
Process Excellence \& Team Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through standardization and automation.
- Mentor and guide Process Executives by reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5–9 years of experience in General Ledger accounting within a captive center, shared services, or BPO environment.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Experience supporting month\-end close and audit processes in a global environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and attention\-to\-detail skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across global teams and stakeholders.
