Role Summary
Plumeria Holidays is seeking an accomplished General Manager to spearhead the growth and expansion of its Holidays business across Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for creating and executing the commercial roadmap for the region, establishing market leadership, maximizing profitability, and building scalable teams capable of driving sustained growth.
The position demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in outbound and inbound tourism, customized holidays, escorted group tours, corporate travel solutions, and MICE business.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Business Ownership
- Lead the overall performance of the Mumbai and Ahmedabad business units.
- Define annual growth plans, revenue objectives, and profitability targets.
- Identify expansion opportunities, new verticals, and strategic alliances.
- Develop city\-specific market penetration plans.
Commercial Leadership
- Drive high\-value sales across leisure, corporate, and MICE segments.
- Build relationships with key accounts, corporate houses, industry associations, and travel partners.
- Monitor regional sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Create pricing and product strategies to improve market competitiveness.
Profitability Management
- Own regional budgets, forecasts, and business performance metrics.
- Improve operational efficiency and maximize branch\-level profitability.
- Analyze business reports and market intelligence to guide decision\-making.
Leadership \& Talent Development
- Establish and mentor branch leadership teams.
- Design performance frameworks and incentive structures.
- Build a culture focused on accountability, customer excellence, and growth.
Strategic Partnerships
- Negotiate commercial agreements with airlines, hotel chains, DMCs, cruise operators, and tourism boards.
- Develop long\-term partnerships that strengthen product offerings and margins.
Desired Profile
- 8\+ years of experience in the holidays and travel industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading multi\-location travel operations.
- Strong exposure to Domestic Holidays, International Holidays, FITs, Group Tours, Corporate Travel, and MICE.
- Proven ability to scale businesses and build high\-performing teams.
- Strong financial, commercial, and leadership capabilities.
