Position Overview
The General Manager – Sales, Business Development \& Profit Centre Head will
be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, market expansion,
strategic partnerships, and overall business performance across Spartek's
Construction Products Division.
The role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in
selling and managing businesses related to
- Tiles
- Sanitaryware
- Precast Concrete Products
- Infrastructure Products
- Industrial Flooring
- Construction Chemicals
- Cement\-Based Products
- Building Materials
- Architectural \& Construction Products
The ideal candidate should possess strong techno\-commercial capabilities,
leadership skills, influencer management expertise, and a proven track record
of scaling businesses while managing complete P\&L responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership \& Business Growth
- Develop and execute short\-term and long\-term growth strategies for the
business division.
- Drive revenue, profitability, market share, and sustainable business
growth.
- Establish Spartek as a preferred partner for developers, builders,
contractors, architects, consultants, and government projects.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic
partnerships.
- Lead expansion initiatives across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh,
Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and other key markets.

P\&L Ownership
- Assume full Profit \& Loss responsibility for the assigned business
division.
- Drive topline growth while ensuring profitability and margin
improvement.
- Monitor budgets, pricing strategies, operational efficiencies, and cost
optimization initiatives.
- Forecast business performance and implement corrective measures
when required.
- Ensure achievement of annual revenue, EBITDA, and profitability targets.
Sales \& Business Development
- Lead institutional sales and project sales activities.
- Develop strong relationships with:
o Builders \& Developers
o EPC Contractors
o Architects
o Structural Consultants
o Project Management Consultants (PMCs)
o Government Bodies
o Infrastructure Companies
o Industrial Clients
o Channel Partners \& Dealers
- Identify and convert high\-value projects in residential, commercial,
industrial, infrastructure, airport, railway, educational, healthcare, and
government sectors.
- Lead key negotiations and close strategic deals.
Influencer \& Specification Management
- Drive product specifications with architects, consultants, and decision\-
makers.
- Build a strong influencer network to secure project approvals and repeat
business.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Position Spartek products as preferred solutions in project
specifications.

Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead high\-performing sales and business
development teams.
- Develop performance metrics and growth plans for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and execution
excellence.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Operations, Finance, Marketing,
and Supply Chain teams.
Market Intelligence \& Competitive Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing movements, and
emerging technologies.
- Identify opportunities for product diversification and innovation.
- Conduct demand forecasting and market assessments.
- Develop strategic action plans to improve market penetration.
Project Sales \& Key Account Management
- Identify large\-scale projects and institutional opportunities.
- Develop project\-specific sales strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
- Ensure seamless coordination between sales, operations, and project
execution teams.
Business Expansion \& Strategic Alliances
- Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic
collaborations.
- Develop alliances with consultants, developers, architects, and industry
associations.
- Represent Spartek at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and
trade forums.
