Job Summary
Mithra Institute of Management Studies (MIMS) is seeking a proactive and dynamic **HR \& Placement Officer** to oversee both institutional human resource functions and student placement activities. The role involves managing recruitment and employee relations within the institution while also developing strong industry partnerships to secure internships and placement opportunities for students.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, networking, organizational, and relationship\-management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with students, faculty members, recruiters, and management.
Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resource Functions
- Manage end\-to\-end recruitment and onboarding processes for faculty and non\-teaching staff.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave management, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate employee performance reviews and support staff development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and HR procedures.
- Handle employee engagement activities and maintain positive workplace relations.
- Assist management in implementing HR policies and administrative processes.
- Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
Placement \& Industry Relations Functions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate organizations, recruiters, HR professionals, and industry partners.
- Identify and secure placement and internship opportunities for students across various programs.
- Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, career guidance sessions, and employer networking events.
- Conduct placement training activities, including resume\-building sessions, interview preparation, and employability skill development programs.
- Coordinate with academic departments to align student competencies with industry requirements.
- Maintain placement records, recruiter databases, placement statistics, and related reports.
- Facilitate industry interactions, guest lectures, corporate visits, and placement\-related collaborations.
- Ensure effective communication between students, recruiters, and the institution throughout the recruitment process.
- Monitor placement outcomes and prepare periodic reports for management review.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR, recruitment, placement coordination, talent acquisition, or related domains.
- Experience in educational institutions, training organizations, or placement consultancies will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, employee relations, and placement operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email correspondence, and database management.
