International Accountant (UK Process), Xero

• *About the role**

We are looking for an International Accountant to manage the accounts of our UK clients on Xero. You will handle day\-to\-day bookkeeping, reconciliations and month\-end reporting in line with UK accounting standards and deadlines.

• *Key responsibilities**

• Maintain the books of UK clients on Xero, including sales, purchases and expenses
• Process supplier invoices, bills and credit notes, and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card and supplier reconciliations
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and month\-end adjustments
• Prepare and file VAT returns, including Making Tax Digital (MTD), where required
• Handle payroll inputs, PAYE and pension entries where applicable
• Prepare management accounts and monthly financial reports for clients
• Assist with year\-end accounts, trial balance and working papers for review
• Coordinate with UK clients and internal teams over email and calls, and resolve queries on time
• Maintain accurate records and meet monthly and quarterly deadlines

• *Requirements**

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year on Xero
• Good understanding of UK accounting, VAT and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with bank reconciliations, month\-end closing and accruals
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good with MS Excel
• Graduate in Commerce or a related field (B.Com or M.Com); CA Inter, ACCA or AAT is a plus
• Willing to work the UK shift, 6 days a week, from our Mohali office

• *Good to have**

• Experience with other tools such as QuickBooks, Sage or Dext
• Knowledge of UK payroll, CIS and corporation tax
• Experience handling multiple UK client accounts

Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000\.00 per year
