Junior Backend Developer (MongoDB & SQL)

We are seeking a motivated **Junior Backend Developer** with strong expertise in **MongoDB and SQL/MySQL databases** and working knowledge of **Node.js** and **Express.js**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database design, management, query optimization, API development, and backend data integration.

This role is best suited for candidates who possess strong database fundamentals and are eager to build scalable, secure, and efficient backend applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize MongoDB collections and SQL/MySQL databases.
• Develop and execute CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations efficiently.
• Write complex SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, relationships, and aggregations.
• Design MongoDB schemas and implement indexing and aggregation pipelines.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Integrate APIs with MongoDB and SQL/MySQL databases.
• Implement input validation, error handling, and secure data processing practices.
• Optimize database performance through indexing and query tuning.
• Ensure data integrity, security, access control, and transactional consistency.
• Perform database backups, migrations, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate using Git/GitHub for version control and team development.
• Support application deployment, environment configuration, and production issue resolution.

Required SkillsDatabase Skills (Primary Requirement)

• Strong hands\-on experience with MongoDB and SQL/MySQL.
• Thorough understanding of CRUD operations and database connectivity.
• Experience with schema design, indexing, and aggregation pipelines in MongoDB.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, normalization, and relationships.
• Understanding of transactions, query optimization, and data integrity.
• Knowledge of database security, backups, restoration, and access control.
• Ability to troubleshoot database issues and improve query performance.

Backend Development

• Good working knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js.
• Understanding of Express.js and backend application architecture.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE).
• Ability to connect APIs with MongoDB and SQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas or cloud\-hosted databases.
• Familiarity with Mongoose, Sequelize, or similar ORM/ODM tools.
• Basic understanding of JWT\-based authentication and authorization.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools.
