Production Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION – JR. ENGINEER (PRODUCTION)

• *ROLE TITLE:** Jr. Engineer – Production

• *REPORTS TO:** Production Head

• *REPORTEES:** Technicians

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To prepare and execute monthly production plans, monitor production activities, coordinate manpower and resources, and ensure that production targets are achieved as per customer requirements and the approved production schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deploy manpower as per the production schedule and daily production requirements.
• Develop and maintain the skill matrix for production operators.
• Prepare, update, and implement work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support internal, external, and customer audits.
• Identify non\-conformities (NCs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Update daily production reports and relevant production data in the system.
• Prepare and share monthly production reports with all concerned departments.
• Monitor cycle time and ensure production output meets customer demand.
• Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) whenever process or product changes are required.
• Conduct daily briefings with operators before the commencement of production activities.
• Conduct operator training to improve skills, productivity, and process awareness.
• Analyse production data and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure 5S implementation and maintenance in the production area.
• Own and implement Process Improvement and Machine Improvement pillars under Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Monitor daily production targets and take necessary action to minimise production losses.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Monitor rejection, rework, and downtime and take corrective actions to improve production efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and established production processes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• *Qualification:**

• Essential: Diploma / B.E.
• Desirable: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical or relevant engineering discipline.

• *Experience:** 2 to 5\+ years of experience in Production / Quality Control.

• *Nature of Experience:** Experience in handling production activities, manpower management, production planning, process control, and continuous improvement.

CTC

• *CTC (Rs.): ₹4,05,000/\- per annum**

AUTHORITIES

• *1\. Production Planning \& Execution:**

Assist in preparing and executing monthly production plans and ensure production targets are achieved as per customer demand.

• *2\. Manpower Deployment:**

Allocate manpower as per production requirements, monitor operator performance, and maintain skill matrices.

• *3\. Process Control \& Improvement:**

Monitor production processes, identify operational issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive process and machine improvements.

• *4\. Production Reporting:**

Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and share relevant information with concerned departments.

• *5\. Training \& Development:**

Conduct daily operator briefings and training sessions to improve employee skills, productivity, and process understanding.

• *6\. Audit \& Compliance:**

Support audit activities, ensure implementation of work instructions and SOPs, and maintain 5S standards in the production area.

• *7\. Cross\-Functional Coordination:**

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production activities.

• *8\. Safety \& Quality Compliance:**

Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with defined safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
