Production Head

• *Job Summary**

The Production Head is responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, and safety requirements are achieved. The role oversees production planning, workforce management, process optimization, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Develop and execute production plans to meet business objectives and customer demand.
• Lead daily manufacturing operations while ensuring optimum productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets.
• Optimize production processes to improve output, reduce downtime, and minimize wastage.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, R\&D, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory manufacturing requirements.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage production budgets, manpower planning, and resource utilization effectively.
• Oversee machine utilization, preventive maintenance coordination, and equipment efficiency.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials, work\-in\-progress, and finished goods to support uninterrupted production.
• Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and development of the production team.
• Investigate production issues and implement root cause analysis for sustainable solutions.
• Prepare production reports, KPIs, and operational reviews for senior management.

• *Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Operations/Production Management is preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a production leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, process improvement, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems and production management software is preferred.
