PRODUCTION OPERATION HEAD-INTERIOR COMPANY

Location: BangaloreExperience: 10–15 Years (Preferred)Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field.

1\. Job Purpose: We need a candidate from furniture/wood/interior industries only

To lead and manage the overall production operations of the wood factory, metal factory and interior fit\-out manufacturing units. The Production Operations Head will be responsible for ensuring timely production, optimum utilisation of manpower and machinery, quality standards, cost control, productivity improvement and timely execution of project requirements.

2\. Key Roles \& ResponsibilitiesA. Production Planning \& Execution

• Develop and implement production plans based on project schedules and customer requirements.
• Ensure timely execution of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
• Coordinate with PPC, Design, Projects and Purchase departments.
• Monitor production progress and ensure minimum delays in manufacturing.
• Ensure smooth workflow between different production sections.
• Plan production capacity based on available manpower, machines and materials.

B. Factory Operations Management

• Oversee day\-to\-day operations of wood, metal and other manufacturing units.
• Supervise production managers, supervisors, engineers and shop\-floor employees.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of machines, manpower and factory resources.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across production departments.
• Ensure proper coordination between CNC, carpentry, edge banding, assembly, polishing, painting and fabrication sections.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and take corrective action.

C. Productivity \& Cost Control

• Improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Monitor material consumption, wastage and scrap generation.
• Implement measures for reducing plywood, laminate, veneer, hardware and metal wastage.
• Ensure proper utilisation and reuse of scrap wherever feasible.
• Monitor labour productivity and machine utilisation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

D. Quality Management

• Ensure products meet approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Department to minimise rework and rejection.
• Implement quality control procedures at every stage of production.
• Investigate recurring quality issues and implement preventive actions.
• Ensure proper inspection before dispatch to project sites.

E. Manpower Management

• Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
• Monitor employee performance, discipline and productivity.
• Identify training requirements for supervisors, operators and workers.
• Develop team leaders and supervisors for effective shop\-floor management.
• Ensure proper shift planning and attendance management.
• Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies.

F. Coordination with Other Departments

• Coordinate with the Design Department for drawings and technical clarifications.
• Work closely with PPC for production schedules and priorities.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate with Project Managers regarding urgent site requirements.
• Work with the Dispatch Department to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
• Escalate operational challenges to management.

G. Safety \& Compliance

• Ensure implementation of factory safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
• Conduct regular shop\-floor safety inspections.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable factory regulations and statutory requirements.

H. MIS \& Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Monitor production targets versus actual achievements.
• Report material wastage, rejection, rework and downtime.
• Present production performance reports to management.
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures for operational issues.

4\. Required Skills \& Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent production planning and execution abilities.
• Knowledge of wood and metal manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of CNC machinery, edge banding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and BOM.
• Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.
• Cost control and production budgeting skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and production priorities.
• Strong knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen practices.

5\. Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Experience in interior fit\-out, retail fixtures, furniture or shopfitting industries preferred.
• Should have experience managing large production teams.
• Should have handled factory\-level production planning, execution and operational management.
• Experience in managing both wood and metal production operations will be an added advantage

Pay: ₹55,000\.00 \- ₹90,000\.00 per month
