Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Sales Officer to drive our Beverages Division in the General Trade (GT) segment. This role requires a high\-energy leader who can manage a team of Sales Representatives/Sales Officers (SR/SO) and expand our retail footprint. You will be responsible for territory growth, distributor management, and ensuring our beverage products are the preferred choice at the point of purchase.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Sales \& Distribution Management
Drive secondary sales and achieve monthly/quarterly volume targets for the beverage portfolio.
Expand the General Trade (GT) network by identifying and appointing new distributors and retail outlets.
Ensure maximum product visibility and maintain Stock\-Keeping Unit (SKU) availability across all mapped outlets.
Monitor distributor stocks and ensure timely replenishment and rotation to prevent expiries.
2\. Team Leadership \& Performance
Lead, mentor, and track a team of frontline sales personnel (Sales Representatives/Retailers).
Conduct daily morning meetings and "on\-the\-job" training to improve the team's selling skills.
Monitor team performance through Daily Sales Reports (DSR) and ensure adherence to beat plans.
3\. Market Intelligence \& Strategy
Keep a close watch on competitor activities, pricing, and schemes in the beverages category.
Execute trade marketing activities, consumer schemes, and BTL (Below\-The\-Line) activations.
Identify "white spaces" in the assigned territory where beverage penetration is low.
4\. Operations \& Reporting
Manage market claims and distributor settlement processes efficiently.
Maintain excellent relationships with key retailers and wholesalers in the region.
Provide regular feedback to the ASM regarding market trends and manpower requirements.
Required Qualifications \& Skills
Experience: \* Minimum 5 years of total experience in the Beverages industry.
At least 1 year of proven experience in a Sales Officer or Team Leading role.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Beverage market (Juices, Carbonated Drinks, or Dairy\-based drinks) within the FMCG sector.
Geographic Expertise: Strong hold over the General Trade market in West Bengal is a plus.
Skills: \* Proficiency in using Sales Force Automation (SFA) or mobile sales apps (e.g., OnTrack).
Strong negotiation and channel management skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and create actionable reports in MS Excel.
Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
