The Customer Engagement\& Experience role proactively collaborates across functions\-including Customer Success, Sales, Support, and product and engineering teams\-to ensure a unified customer experience throughout the lifecycle, effectively managing time, communications, and expectations. Acting as a technical liaison between customer environments and Cisco product teams, the role provides feedback to influence product evolution and ensure compatibility with real\-world use cases. In Solution Delivery\& Technical Execution, the role is responsible for designing, deploying, optimizing, migrating, and troubleshooting security solutions that extend or enhance Cisco products, enabling seamless integration with customer environments and third\-party systems. It serves as a focal point for proactive problem resolution, offers timely support across Cisco and third\-party technologies, applies deep knowledge of security frameworks, threat models, and regulatory standards to help customers build resilient, scalable, and policy\-aligned architectures, develops and reviews technical deliverables to support customer engagements and enable long\-term self\-sufficiency, and leverages AI and automation to enhance delivery efficiency, innovation, and customer outcomes. The role also develops vertical market expertise to better translate customer business needs into technical solutions, integrates Cisco and non\-Cisco security technologies in complex, multi\-vendor environments to ensure interoperability and policy alignment, and contributes to knowledge sharing and the development of security\-focused intellectual capital, including reusable assets, best practices, and compliance templates.What you’ll do: In this role, you will support basic security\-focused assignments by assisting with documentation, research, and testing under guidance. You will build foundational knowledge of a security domain as well as gain an understanding of the role security plays within broader Cisco and third\-party technology environments. Your work will primarily impact your own team, which is often matrixed and composed of members from different organizations. You will engage with customers, typically under the supervision of senior team members, and develop an understanding of the customer’s security environment, business goals, and key leaders or decision makers, aligning your efforts to the end\-to\-end plan where available.You will build trust by supporting the setup, configuration, and monitoring of security solutions under guidance. To support short\-term customer outcomes—such as implementing firewall rules, access controls, or compliance checks—you will gather data and prepare technical reports. You will begin learning how customer adoption and usage of security features impact business value, and you will gain an understanding of the CiscoSecurity Framework (CSF) while starting to use basic consulting tools such as stakeholder mapping, threat modeling, and compliance checklists.Your responsibilities will also include using automation tools and scripts to support documentation tasks, including drafting and tracking project scopes and timelines. Under guidance, you will perform basic technical support, such as log analysis, test execution, monitoring the performance of security solutions, and providing migration support. You will help set up basic labs to replicate customer issues and demonstrate understanding of Cisco and Cisco\-integrated third\-party security tools and delivery methods, building your skills in articulating technical concepts.You should have basic knowledge of security technologies and begin to incorporate automation under guidance. You will assist in creating technical documentation and presentations, and contribute to knowledge transfer sessions. As part of your development, you will learn how AI tools can support day\-to\-day tasks and begin to apply them with guidance, understanding the importance of validating AI\-generated outputs.A technical certification at the entry level, such as Cisco CyberOps Associate or CompTIA Security\+, is expected. Additionally, you will build foundational consulting and collaboration skills, including communication, presentation, stakeholder mapping, clarification of outcomes, and adapting to feedback. Typically, you will interface with other Customer Engineers (CEs) and may interact with customers to support issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
