• *Role : Senior Software Developer**

• *Experience : 5 \- 7 Years**

• *Location : Mumbai/Bangalore**

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• *Architecture \& Technical Leadership**

• Own the backend and infrastructure architecture, making and documenting key technical decisions
• Define and maintain engineering standards for backend code, infrastructure, security, and deployment
• Advise leadership and delivery teams on technical approach, risk, effort, and cost for new projects and pitches
• Evaluate and select tools, services, and third\-party partners, bringing in specialist support where appropriate
• Share knowledge with the wider engineering team, including supporting front\-end developers on backend and infrastructure topics

• *Backend Development**

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and PHP
• Write clean, well\-tested, maintainable code, and establish review practices for backend work
• Optimise application performance, reliability, and security
• Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, both consuming third\-party services and exposing internal endpoints
• Work closely with front\-end developers to support headless architecture, integrating with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful
• Design and own authentication and SSO integrations using OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, and SAML, working with identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID
• Lead database design and query optimisation

• *DevOps \& Infrastructure**

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, primarily on GCP
• Build and manage containerised environments using Docker
• Support front\-end developers with deployments on SaaS hosting platforms such as Vercel
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe releases
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting, and lead incident response
• Own infrastructure\-as\-code practices and cloud cost/performance optimisation
• Own cloud security, access management, backups, and disaster recovery
• Maintain clear documentation and runbooks so systems are well understood and resilient beyond any one person

• *ESSENTIAL SKILLS \& EXPERIENCE**

• Proven senior\-level experience as a backend developer, with strong commercial experience in Python and PHP
• Strong hands\-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure), ideally GCP
• Practical experience with Docker and containerised application deployment
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Hands\-on experience with Infrastructure\-as\-Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Solid knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs
• Strong experience implementing SSO and authentication using standards such as OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, and SAML, and integrating with identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience collaborating with front\-end developers on headless solutions, including CMS platforms such as Contentful
• Comfortable working across the full lifecycle — from design through deployment to monitoring
• Confident working autonomously as the sole owner of a technical area, making sound decisions and prioritising effectively
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to non\-technical stakeholders and clients

• *DESIRABLE SKILLS \& EXPERIENCE**

• Experience supporting front\-end deployments on SaaS hosting platforms such as Vercel
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration
• Experience working in an agency or client\-facing environment
• Experience contributing to technical scoping, estimation, or pitches
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
