• *The Impact of a Sr Software Engineer \- Technology Platform at Coupa:**

In this role, you will design, build, and scale foundational platform services that power multiple products and teams. You will play a key role in driving technical excellence, improving developer productivity, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across our platform.

### **What You'll Do:**

• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure platform services and frameworks

• Drive architecture decisions and contribute to long\-term platform strategy

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements and provide platform solutions

• Improve system performance, observability, and operational efficiency

• Ensure best practices in code quality

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture

• Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks, and production issues

### **What You Will Bring to Coupa:**

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 3\+ years of experience in software development, preferably in platform or backend engineering

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar)

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Solid understanding of APIs, system design, and scalable architecture patterns

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

• Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging) and familiarity with DevOps practices

• Hands\-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and in memory key\-value stores like Redis.

• Solid understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning

• Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to work in a fast\-paced environment
