Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and technical Sustainability Consultant to drive building performance optimization and green certifications. This role is a unique hybrid requiring expertise in whole\-building energy simulation, hands\-on building commissioning, and LEED project management. You will be responsible for ensuring that building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls) are designed, modeled, and verified to operate at peak energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Energy Modelling \& Building Simulation
Whole\-Building Simulation: Perform complex 3D energy modelling and thermal analysis using industry\-standard software
Compliance Modelling: Conduct energy code compliance modelling in strict accordance with ASHRAE 90\.1 standards for LEED documentation.
Design Optimization: Run iterative parametric simulations to evaluate the ROI and energy\-saving potential of different facade options, HVAC systems, and renewable energy integrations.
2\. Building Commissioning (Cx)
Process Execution: Support both Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning processes required for LEED certification.
Documentation \& Testing: Assist in developing the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), and Commissioning Plans. Review submittals and draft pre\-functional and functional testing checklists.
Site Inspections: Conduct field site visits to inspect equipment installation, witness testing of HVAC, electrical, and control systems (BMS), and log deficiencies.
3\. LEED Project Management
Credit Administration: Act as the technical lead for LEED projects, managing the submission workflow via LEED Online.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure design and construction match LEED energy and commissioning prerequisites.
