Technical Sales Engineer

Job Overview

The role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their packaging requirements, recommending suitable machinery, conducting product demonstrations, and developing business opportunities in the manufacturing sector.

The candidate will also coordinate with technical teams and overseas suppliers for machine\-related requirements and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for automated packaging machines.
• Generate leads and approach potential customers in manufacturing industries.
• Visit customer facilities to understand their existing packaging processes and technical requirements.
• Recommend suitable machinery based on customer applications.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and machine trials.
• Prepare technical proposals and commercial quotations.
• Follow up on customer enquiries and support order closures.
• Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, and customer training.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and after\-sales technical assistance.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers regarding machine specifications, spare parts, and technical queries.
• Develop customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat sales of packaging consumables.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, industrial machinery sales, application engineering, or service sales.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant technical background.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and packaging applications.
• Experience in capital equipment sales to manufacturing companies is preferred.
• Good technical presentation and customer\-handling skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to independently manage customer enquiries and sales activities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
