Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented **Technical Proposal Engineer** to prepare techno\-commercial proposals, quotations, cost estimates and technical documentation for pharmaceutical high\-purity water systems.

The ideal candidate should have experience in pharmaceutical water systems, including Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Pure Steam, pretreatment and distribution systems.

The role involves understanding customer technical requirements, reviewing User Requirement Specifications (URS), preparing competitive proposals, coordinating with engineering and sales teams, and supporting technical discussions through order finalisation.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechno\-Commercial Proposals \& Estimation

• Prepare detailed techno\-commercial proposals, quotations and cost estimates for pharmaceutical water treatment systems.
• Review customer enquiries, User Requirement Specifications (URS), technical specifications and tender documents.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), costing sheets, compliance statements and supporting technical documentation.
• Develop accurate and competitive proposals based on customer and project requirements.
• Prepare revised quotations and proposals based on customer feedback, technical changes and commercial discussions.
• Ensure timely submission of technical proposals and tender documents.

Technical Design \& Equipment Selection

• Understand and evaluate system requirements for PW, WFI, Pure Steam, pretreatment and distribution systems.
• Select suitable equipment and develop system configurations based on customer specifications.
• Review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping \& Instrumentation Diagrams (P\&IDs) and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with Design, Process and Purchase teams for equipment specifications, technical inputs and costing.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with customer specifications and internal engineering standards.

Sales Support \& Customer Coordination

• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Process and Procurement teams to prepare technical and commercial submissions.
• Respond to customer and consultant technical queries.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations and proposal discussions when required.
• Support the sales team during commercial negotiations and order finalisation.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for Design Qualification (DQ) approvals to ensure smooth project handover.

Order Review \& Documentation

• Review purchase orders for technical specifications, commercial conditions and delivery terms.
• Prepare order acknowledgements after reviewing purchase order requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of proposals, quotations, revisions and customer communications.
• Ensure proper handover of approved technical and commercial documents to the project execution team.
• Maintain proposal documentation according to company procedures and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Biotechnology, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in technical proposals, estimation, tendering or techno\-commercial engineering.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical water systems, including PW, WFI and Pure Steam.
• Experience preparing techno\-commercial quotations, cost estimates and BOMs.
• Ability to understand PFDs, P\&IDs, technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of equipment selection and system configuration.
• Experience reviewing customer URS and preparing technical compliance statements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of ERP or CRM systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem\-solving and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, engineering, procurement and project teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical water treatment systems, high\-purity water systems or pharmaceutical process equipment.
• Professionals from water treatment system manufacturing, pharmaceutical engineering or process equipment manufacturing backgrounds.
• Experience in technical sales support, proposal engineering, tendering and cost estimation.
• Hands\-on knowledge of PW, WFI, Pure Steam and pharmaceutical distribution systems.
• Ability to independently handle customer enquiries, technical clarifications and proposal submissions.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, commercial costing and project handover requirements.
