XR Solution Architect

• *A Snapshot of Your Day**

As an XR Architect, you will define, build and scale the enterprise Extended Reality (AR/VR/MR) ecosystem. You will own the end\-to\-end architecture of XR platforms, covering device fleet management, security, immersive training content and remote\-assistance solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, security and content teams, you will translate XR use cases into reliable, secure and scalable production solutions.

• *How You’ll Make an Impact**

• **Architecture \& Strategy:** Define the XR reference architecture, standards and roadmap covering devices, platforms, content pipelines, integrations and security.
• **Platform Setup:** Design, deploy and operate enterprise XR platforms, including headsets, smart glasses and mobile AR solutions, across multiple sites and regions.
• **Device Management:** Lead Mobile Device Management (MDM/UEM) implementation for XR devices, including enrolment, kiosk mode, policy and application distribution, OS/firmware updates, and remote lock/wipe capabilities.
• **Custom Training:** Architect and deliver immersive, customised training programmes covering procedural, safety, soft\-skills and simulation\-based learning. Oversee content design and authoring workflows, LMS/xAPI integration and learner analytics.
• **Remote Support:** Design and roll out remote support and “see\-what\-I\-see” collaboration solutions incorporating live video, annotations, spatial anchors, work instructions and expert\-to\-field workflows.
• **Integration:** Integrate XR solutions with enterprise systems such as SSO/IdP, LMS, ITSM, ERP/EAM, IoT/digital twin platforms and cloud services through APIs and middleware.
• **Security \& Governance:** Define XR security, privacy and compliance controls covering identity, data protection, network segmentation and secure content handling.
• **Evaluation \& Vendor Management:** Evaluate and select XR hardware, platforms, SDKs and vendors; conduct PoCs and pilots; and develop business cases and ROI models.
• **Technical Leadership:** Provide technical leadership to developers, 3D artists, instructional designers and support teams. Conduct design reviews and establish development best practices.
• **Operations \& Scale:** Establish monitoring, support models, SLAs, performance tuning and device lifecycle management to support XR operations at scale.

• *What You Bring**

• 9–12 years of overall IT/technology experience, including at least 4–5 years in XR (AR/VR/MR) solution design or architecture.
• Proven experience setting up enterprise XR platforms and managing device fleets at scale, including Meta Quest for Business, HoloLens, Magic Leap, Pico, RealWear, Vuzix or similar platforms.
• Hands\-on expertise in MDM/UEM solutions for XR devices, such as ArborXR, ManageXR, Intune, Workspace ONE, Meraki, SOTI or similar platforms.
• Experience designing and delivering custom XR training solutions, including content workflows and LMS integration using SCORM/xAPI.
• Strong exposure to remote support and collaboration use cases using solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, TeamViewer Frontline, Vuforia Chalk, PTC and Zoom/Teams\-based workflows.
• Working knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal Engine, OpenXR, ARKit/ARCore, WebXR and 3D asset pipelines, including CAD\-to\-3D optimisation.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), networking (Wi\-Fi, 5G and edge), identity management and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns, REST APIs and DevOps/CI\-CD for XR applications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into architecture documents, solution designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• **Good to have:** Experience with digital twins, IoT data overlays and spatial computing in manufacturing, field service, healthcare, energy or logistics.
• **Good to have:** Exposure to AI\-assisted XR, including computer vision, generative AI for content creation and AI copilots for field workers.
• **Good to have:** Knowledge of XR analytics, accessibility, and ergonomics/safety guidelines.
• **Good to have:** Certifications such as Unity Certified Professional, Azure/AWS Architect, TOGAF or MDM vendor certifications.
• **Good to have:** Experience in managed services or consulting environments.
• Strategic and architectural thinking combined with a hands\-on mindset, strong problem\-solving skills, focus on user adoption, cross\-functional collaboration, and the ability to mentor teams and drive innovation in a fast\-evolving domain.
