Design Manager

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager with strong expertise in Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing to lead our Design \& Development team at our manufacturing facility.

• *Location:** Nellore, Andhra Pradesh

• *Experience:** 6–15 Years

• *Industry:** Sheet Metal Manufacturing / Fabrication – Preferred

• *Qualification:** Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Lead and manage the Design team and ensure timely completion of projects
• Develop and review 2D/3D designs for sheet metal components and assemblies
• Handle and review BOM, Nesting, PPAP, and APQP activities
• Prepare and approve engineering drawings, layouts, and manufacturing drawings
• Ensure designs are suitable for sheet metal fabrication, press tooling, welding fixtures, gauges, and fasteners
• Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchase departments
• Identify design improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality
• Resolve design\-related issues and provide technical support during production
• Guide the team in new product development and design modifications
• Ensure proper documentation and revision control of drawings and designs

• *Required Skills:**

• Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and Manufacturing Processes
• Hands\-on experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks (Mandatory)
• Good understanding of 2D drawings, 3D modelling, GD\&T, and tolerances
• Experience in BOM, Nesting, PPAP, and APQP
• Knowledge of press tooling, welding fixtures, gauges, and fasteners
• Strong manufacturing process knowledge and practical design experience
• Proven experience in Design Team Handling and Leadership
• Good problem\-solving, decision\-making, and coordination skills
