Project Manager (Construction)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results\-driven Construction Project Manager with 15 years of experience in managing construction projects from planning and execution to completion and handover. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, project management, and coordination skills to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations, managing project teams, coordinating with clients and consultants, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Project Planning and Execution

• Plan, schedule, and execute construction projects in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Develop project execution strategies, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Identify potential project risks and implement corrective measures.

2\. Site Management and Supervision

• Oversee day\-to\-day construction site activities and ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.

3\. Budget and Cost Control

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow requirements.
• Control project expenditure and minimize cost overruns.
• Monitor material consumption, labor productivity, and equipment utilization.
• Review contractor bills, BOQs, variations, and additional work claims.

4\. Quality Assurance and Quality Control

• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Implement quality control procedures and inspection schedules.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, test reports, and quality records.

5\. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement site safety procedures and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Promote a safe working environment for all site personnel.

6\. Client and Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, architects, and contractors.
• Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates.
• Coordinate approvals, inspections, and technical clarifications.
• Resolve project\-related issues and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

7\. Contract and Documentation Management

• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage change orders, variations, claims, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain project records, progress reports, and site documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project deliverables.

8\. Team Leadership

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Mentor site engineers, supervisors, and junior project personnel.
• Ensure effective communication between project departments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience in managing large\-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, and execution.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem\-solving skills.
