• *Job Summary**

SAMMS TECH SPM \& AUTOMATION is looking for an experienced **Senior Design Engineer** with expertise in **fixture design**, **part and cavity development**, and **Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design**. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling complete machine and fixture design projects from concept to manufacturing while coordinating with customers, production, and the design team.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design and develop assembly fixtures, welding fixtures, checking fixtures, and machining fixtures.
• Design fixtures based on customer parts, cavity models, and component drawings.
• Analyze part geometry and create suitable locating, clamping, and supporting mechanisms.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using **SolidWorks**.
• Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using **AutoCAD**.
• Design Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automation equipment.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and maintain drawing revisions.
• Coordinate with customers to understand technical requirements and implement design changes.
• Support production, machining, assembly, and commissioning teams during project execution.
• Review designs and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide effective engineering solutions.

• *Required Skills**

• Strong proficiency in **SolidWorks** (Part, Assembly, Drawing, Weldments, and Sheet Metal).
• Good knowledge of **AutoCAD**.
• Hands\-on experience in **Fixture Design**.
• Experience in **Part \& Cavity\-based Fixture Development**.
• Knowledge of GD\&T, tolerance stack\-up, fits, and engineering drawing standards.
• Understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of pneumatic components, linear motion systems, bearings, sensors, and actuators.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.
